I had purchased a Braun 4 years ago. I used it for a couple days and went back to my Schick razer and cream. Two weeks ago I read Consumer Report and Remington was rated the Best. I decided to buy Remington's F4790 model and am very much impressed. I have been using it every morning for the past 2 weeks and will for the years ahead! The trimmer is positioned just right to make for easy use and works extremely well. I hold my F4790 upside down when doing the face and right side up when doing the neck. Or vise versa. Why? To get even leading cutting edge blade usage. To prevent one side from always being the leading/cutting edge and extend life of cutter and screen. I clean after each use with a tooth brush. This Remington fits very nicely in your hand and cuts those wiskers CLOSE with very LIGHT pressure. I purchased my Remington at Target as wanted it right away. I strongly recommend this product!! Consumer Report is right on!!

This 4790 model doesn't have a lot of bells and whistles and that's what I like about it. It's heavy, powerful, sharp, and sensitive to the curves of your face. More importantly, it doesn't rip the skin off your skull. This titanium model retails in big box stores two-thirds this price. Been using it for five months without a problem. Still sharp, too. Is washable, comes with a cord charger; the charge holds a consistent 20-hour charge, and it recharges fully in 40 minutes, or on quick charge in 5 minutes. I'll definitely buy another one for the value and performance.

I purchased this razor as a replacement for a very old Remington that I really loved. I was afraid it wouldn't stack up to my old razor but it comes close.Close shave, doesn't cut my neck, and is very easy to clean.The tilt head works well as does the trimmer.It does leave a whisker or two now and then that requires a blade razor to cut.Overall, I recommend it!
